The Great Confession
We here at Bible Baptist believe it does make a difference what you believe; therefore, it makes a difference what we preach! In 2 Timothy 4:1 we are instructed to “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth. And shall be turned unto fables.
Bible Baptist Church, believes the manner by which we live our lives is based on what we believe, For this reason we must teach God’s Holy Word without apology. God’s Word is the final authority for the church, the believer, the Christian Home and a Christian nation. We hold to the King James Version in all our teaching and preaching of God’s Word.
These are the listed Articles of Faith of BBC as found in the Word of God:
1. We believe in the verbal, complete, and total inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21
2. We believe in the Holy Trinity; one God eternally existing in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 1 John 5:7; Matthew 3:16-17
3. We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ.Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25
4. We believe in Christ’s death on the cross and His shed blood as the only sacrifice for sin. Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:12
5. We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ Matthew 28:6; Mark 16:6
6. We believe in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ. Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-16
7. We believe in the new birth, that being born again is necessary for salvation. John 3:3; 1 Peter 1:23
8. We believe that salvation is not dependent upon works of the flesh (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5), but comes to any who by faith receive Jesus Christ as personal Savior. (John 1:12; John 3:16)
9. We believe in the blessed assurance and eternal security of all believers who have personally received Jesus Christ. John 10:27-28; 1 John 5:11-13
10. We believe in two church ordinances:(1) Baptism – Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3-4(2) The Lord’s Supper – Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26These ordinances are not a means of, nor essential to salvation.
11. We believe in believers living a separated life.Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14
12. We believe in tithing. Malachi 3:8-10′ 1 Corinthians 16:2
13. We believe in soul winning. Proverbs 11:30; James 5:20
14. We believe in a literal heaven (John 14:2-3; 2 Corinthians 5:1) and a literal hell (Luke 16:23; Revelation 20:11-15).
15. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:51-55; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Revelation 21:40); the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment (Matthew 25:41-46; Revelation 20:11-15).
16. We believe in separation of Church and State. Matthew 22:21; Acts 5:27-29
Someone once said a man’s confession of what he believes has eternal dividends. Romans 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation;” We believe and preach the Bible without apology.
