Pastor Weger Update – July 10, 2012

Pastor Weger was admitted into the hospital yesterday, this time for what appeared to be a Hernia Surgery. The doctor operated approximately 4:00 pm, the surgery lasted about 40 minutes or so. When the doctor briefed us he said there was no hernia, that it was just an abscess, he cut out some old scar tissue and left the wound open so it can be kept clean and heal better. He was supposed to begin Chemo today but naturally that has been put off. On the good side, his Pneumonia is pretty well gone, now just a head cold and this surgery. Thanks for the Prayers! Will post more when I find out how he is doing today!

Pastor Weger Update – July 6, 2012

Please continue to pray for Pastor Weger. He had a small setback this last week. He went to the ER due to a 101 temp and found out he had a kidney/bladder infection and then developed pneumonia in his left lung. Due to this he probably won’t start chemo on the 10th of July as scheduled. The doctors want him infection free before he starts the chemo. Continue to pray that God will heal him.

Thanks,
Andrew

Update on Pastor Recovery

Pastor Weger is doing very well and is improving daily. He was in services this past Sunday and even “preached” a mini sermon in the evening service.Everyone here at BBC was glad to see him back at church.

This last Monday they installed the port for him to receive his chemo treatments which start on July 10th. He goes in this Friday, June 29th, to have a Pet Scan performed to see if there is any other cancer cells in his body.

He request that you continue to pray for him and his recovery daily.

Update on Pastor Recovery – June 22, 2012

Praise God, we have good news.  There is NO cancer cells in the pastor’s bone marrow. Monday he will get a port placed and his Chemo will begin on July 10th.  His cancer doctor has downgraded the Pastor from Intermediate to MILD.  It is possible that some of the cancer in his liver will die off by itself because the main tumor was removed.  Pray is the answer, please continue to PRAY.

Update from Pastor

Hey everyone, thanks for the words of encouragement and cards, recovering from surgery, the cancer in the colon has been removed but I still have some cancer in the Liver we are going to have to deal with, pray with me that the cancer is not in the marrow, beginning some new tests in a few weeks, this is my giant {1st Samuel 18 and he is going down for the Glory of the Lord} the battle is the Lord’s and will be a ruff one for sure, I do know God has a plan and his ways are perfect, so pray for me that I will do a very good job for my Savior!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! Bob

Pastor Recovery Update – June 11, 2012

It is now 11 June and I tried to get this put on under its own title but I am not technologically gifted. Preacher is doing ok today. He had a Bone Marrow Biopsy this morning and that was painful. He also had a slight infection on his incision, they opened it up and drained it and packed it with gauze. The doctor wants him out of the hospital tomorrow, less chance of infection at home! Praise God! It seems his first round of battle with the Giant is over, now a couple weeks of recuperation and then it’s round two! Please continue to pray the Bone Marrow comes back on our side! The doctor also said he is pleased with the type of cancer, which is more receptive to Chemo Treatments than regular Colon Cancer! Praise God Again! “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much!” Thank you and God Bless!

Visited with Preacher today after visitation. He is in good spirits, but tires out from walking and sitting up. it looks like everything is on schedule for him to return home maybe Monday to recuperate for round two. Please Pray, he understands Victory is only from God, and Prayers are the key! God Bless You!
